Starting this trekking, expeditions, and tour agency has been both a challenge and a labor of love. My journey began at the very bottom of the trekking/touring industry as a porter in 2008. Over time, I progressed to becoming a guide, and shortly after, a certified guide. In January 2015, I took a bold step to start my own company.
As my company grew, I remained committed to the growth of my employees. I mentored them, helping many advance from porters to guides and then certified guides. This growth also allowed me to hire more porters and guides, creating more opportunities. Additionally, the company strives to assist employees and their families during times of financial crisis.
The challenges of the 2015 earthquake and the 2020 pandemic deeply affected both our agency and the nation. Yet, through perseverance and teamwork, we overcome these hurdles and continue to thrive.
In recent years, we have become increasingly aware of gender issues in tourism, such as unequal distribution of benefits, power struggles, and exploitation. In response, we are dedicated to promoting gender equity by actively hiring female guides and partnering with women-owned businesses.
