I had 2 very bad experiences with Signature Tours during my vacation 2 weeks ago in Buenos Aires. One of the reasons I came to Argentina from Canada was to see the Iguazu Falls. I booked in advance - and paid for - a private, full-day trip to the falls (including airfare) for 2 people with Signature, via the GetYourGuide platform. About 36 hours prior to departure for this trip, I was informed that the trip could not go ahead because there were no available seats on the airplane. I was asked if I could go on another day, and suggested the next day (my last full day in Argentina) but was told they had no availability on that day either. Signature told me they were "sorry for the inconvenience"
and asked if I wanted a refund! Did they expect me to say no, when they cancelled my booking at the last minute? I managed to get a full-day, private tour (including the flight) with another company through the Viator platform. It was excellent. The other tour my companion and I took with Signature Tours was the Tigre Delta Small-group Tour. We were picked up at our hotel, as were the other guests, before going to the boat for the tour. The only communication from the guide was to ask each of us where we had come from. We then boarded a large boat with several other groups for a 3-hour boat ride with nothing to see, except the departing city skyline. A recorded tour message was played on the boat's overhead speaker system - in several languages - that was inaudible. When we finally arrived in Tigre, we had passed a smelly garbage dump, some rusted out hulls of ships and a scattering of somewhat interesting houses built on stilts. Upon landing, our driver picked up our group and took us to an old casino building to take pictures. We were then driven to a restaurant for a snack. After what seemed to be some confusion, our group was seated at 2 separate tables while our guide sat apart at a different table. We were then driven back to our hotels. There was no opportunity to walk around the town and the guide seemed uninterested in actually being a guide; he mostly just responded to any questions that were asked of him. Every single person in our group mentioned how disappointed they were in the '"tour" - a waste of money and the better part of a day.
