What Do I Need to Bring?

  • GENERAL SAFARI PACKING
  • 1. Bright summer clothes for safari tour (Strong colours can attract unwanted attention from flies found in certain areas of the parks). Laundry is cheap and available, so do not pack much in terms of clothes
  • 2. Fuller clothes for evenings at the hotel and lodge, such as long pants and long-sleeved shirts to protect you against mosquitoes after sunset and, if necessary, against the sun
  • 3. A jacket/sweater, as it can be cool in the early morning and evening
  • Summer Footwear/ comfortable shoes(e.g. sports shoes and cotton socks).
  • 4. Power adapter with 3-4 sockets – this enables a shaver, trimmer, electric toothbrush and any batteries to be charged via a single adapter
  • 5. Small flashlight and extra batteries
  • 6. Hat that shields against the sun
  • 7. Sunscreen, sunglasses and lip balm
  • 8. A mosquito/insect repellent
  • 9. Nail clippers and file
  • 10. Personal medicine and toiletries
  • 11. Extra batteries for camera, recorder

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

You’ll be met by one of our representative for a short briefing then you’ll departing from Nairobi. On the way, you will briefly stop at the Great rift valley viewpoint where you will enjoy the wonderful view before proceeding to Narok to have hot lunch then finally to the camp. After resting, get to go on an evening tracking of game of about 2-3 hours then dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 2 : Maasai Mara Full Game Drive

After breakfast leave for a full day game drive till 5:00Pm and then have picnic lunch. Maasai Mara is unique in its ways and is covered with savannah grassland on rolling hills which is scenic view. The game drives take us in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. It also has a good track network which allows for close proximity of wildlife and nice photograph captures. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 3 : Maasai Mara To Nakuru

Have a visit to the Masai village then before 9:00Am get back to the camp and have a full breakfast then proceed to Nakuru while having your lunch enroute. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha and even enjoy an optional fun activity of boat riding. Then finally proceed to Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 4 : Nakuru to Amboseli

After breakfast, you’ll leave for the game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park known for its variety of birds including the flamingoes. Enjoy the view of hippos, buffaloes and crocodiles at Baboon cliff then later have your lunch enroute to Amboseli National Park. Check in at the camp for dinner and overnight. Day 5 : Amboseli

Have pre-breakfast then have an early morning game drive in Amboseli game drive and enjoy the views of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the backdrop of Amboseli National Park and you’ll also get close proximity of animal viewing especially the amazing elephant size and their matriarchs (old female elephant leaders) and the variety of birds found in the park. Have picnic breakfast and lunch then dinner and overnight at the camp. Accommodation: Manjaro Tented Camp Dining: Breakfast Dinner Lunch Drinking water Transportation: Off-road vehicle

Day 6 : Amboseli to Arusha

You will have a pre-breakfast game drive then set out for the early game drive at 6:30 am in the swampy park and enjoy the variety of herbivores wallowing in the muddy swamps like the hippos and the large elephants and their cubs and a variety of other wildlife. You will return and have a full breakfast at the camp then check out from the camp and drive to the Namanga border where you will catch a shuttle bus to Arusha. Upon arrival, you’ll meet our driver who will transfer you to the Arusha Hotel booked for bed and breakfast. Day 7 : Arusha to serengeti national park

After breakfast at the Arusha Hotel, you will be met by our company representative driver guide for briefing about the whole trip, leave Arusha for a 6 hours’ drive to Serengeti National park with lunch enroute. Upon arrival at the main gate have the registration done then with a game drive to the camp which is located at the Central Serengeti. On this day, you are scheduled for at least 3 hours’ game drive, then dinner will be served at Seronera Camp followed by overnight at the same camp. Accommodation: Seronera Public Campsite Dining: Lunch Drinking water Dinner Breakfast Transportation: Off-road vehicle Distance: 235.5km/ 4 hours 31 minutes

Day 8 : Serengeti Full Game Drive

Early breakfast at the camp then with picnic lunch leave the camp for a full day game viewing tracking the wildebeest migration and the big five; lion, Leopard, buffalo, Elephant and the Rhino. During this full day game drive, you’ll be able to view both nocturnal mammals, herbivores and hunters early in the morning thenby midday you’ll see herbivores as they mostly visit the waterbodies to quench their thirst and in the evening you’ll see the hunters and nocturnal returning from their hideouts to start their night hunts. You may also take a game drive to crocodile infested grumeti River to see the crocodiles and the hippopotamus. Have picnic lunch at the picnic site and continue with the game drive till 1700hrs. Drive to the camp with a game driver for Dinner and overnight at the camp. Accommodation: Seronera Public Campsite Dining: Lunch Drinking water Dinner Breakfast Transportation: Off-road vehicle

Day 9 : Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

You will have an early breakfast. Later, you will track the wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, lions, lionesses, black rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, bushbucks, lesser kudu, wild dog, Kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, black-backed jackals, mongoose, Olive baboons, vervet monkeys among other animals are found here and you will be lucky to see some of them. By noon, you will leave the park with a stopover at Olduvai Gorge at an extra cost of USD 35 per person. By evening, you will arrive at the conservancy area where you will have dinner and an overnight stay at Simba Camp. Accommodation: Ngorongoro Simba Campsite Dining: Lunch Drinking water Dinner Breakfast Transportation: Off-road vehicle Distance: 227.7km/4 hours 37 minutes

Day 10 : Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

You will have breakfast at the camp, then you will leave for a game drive within the Ngorongoro Crater. Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site and the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera which is often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World. Here you will be able to descend on a game drive with a view of common lions, African elephants, black rhinos, blue wildebeest, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. Wild dogs, Grant’s zebras, African buffalos, and hippopotamus at the crater rim. You will have a picnic lunch at the crater rim then start ascending to the main gate, exit the crater after 6 hours, and drive to Arusha, you will be dropped off at your Arusha Hotel. Day 11 : Departure

After breakfast check out and either be transferred to Arusha airport or back to Nairobi. If you return to Nairobi, you will meet our staff share your experience and be dropped at your Nairobi Hotel or airport to catch a flight back home or to other destination.
