This tour takes you to one of the fresh water lakes at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Experience a short game drive, a hike in the park as well as a walking safari at the Crescent Island.
Depart Nairobi at 7:00 am and drive to Hells Gate National Park with a stop at the Rift Valley View Point for panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley. After that, continue with your journey the hotel in Naivasha. Check in and brief relaxation, then depart for Hell's Gate National Park. Hells Gate National Park is one of the smaller national parks in Kenya, which can be explored on foot, by bike or by car. Arrive at the park at around mid-morning and start your tour inside the park. Some of the wildlife that abounds in this park includes dik-diks, giraffes, gazelles, wildebeests, impalas, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, jackals, mongooses, baboons, among others. Historically, the park has been an important home for the rare bearded vulture. After a brief safari, visit the gorges for about an hour, capturing the beautiful panoramas of the small, thin depressions in the gorge's landmass where you can walk below. Return to the hotel for lunch. Take time to rest and enjoy the hotel and its facilities. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
After breakfast, take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake, which is the highest lake by elevation in the Rift Valley. Here, you will have the chance to see more wildlife including hippos, buffalo, osprey, pelicans, and many more birds. You will arrive at the Crescent Island, where you will do a walking safari, and stand a chance to see zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, Impalas, kongoni, elands among other animals. This tour allows you to get up close with wildlife and take great photos. Crescent Island is a private Island on Lake Naivasha that rose to fame after the 1985 movie “Out of Africa” that showcased the beautiful nature of Lake Naivasha and its surrounding. Although the movie had a bit of influence in establishing the Island, the main reason the Island was established is that Lake Naivasha had a significantly huge drop in its water levels, which caused the Island to significantly come up and attach to the mainland permanently to this day. The Crescent Island is owned and run privately, unlike Lake Naivasha that is managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service. This Island is home to a number of bird species which include the fish eagle, herons, black crakes, cranes, pelicans, ospreys, lily-trotters and many more. The tour lasts an hour and a half or so. Return to the hotel for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out of the hotels and depart for Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi in time to have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, transfer to the agreed place.
