Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Entebbe, Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a Mond Safaris representative will meet you right off the plane. They will assist with customs and baggage claim before introducing you to your guide. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax and unwind after your journey, preparing for the adventures ahead.

Day 2–3: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi National Park

Day 2: After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Entebbe Airport for a domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival at the airstrip, you’ll be warmly welcomed and driven to your lodge. After settling in and enjoying lunch, you may take a guided community walk to interact with locals, learn about their traditions, and gain insight into their daily lives. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Today marks the highlight of your safari—gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and etiquette of gorilla trekking. You will then be placed in a group of up to eight people and, together with experienced guides and rangers, set off into the forest to track a gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere between 1–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movement. Once found, you will spend a magical hour in their presence, observing their behavior and taking photos. After the trek, you’ll return to the starting point, where you will receive a certificate to commemorate your experience, before heading back to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Return to Entebbe / Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before your transfer to the airstrip for the return flight to Entebbe.
