Your journey begins with a morning pickup from Arusha* and a scenic drive to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park. After registration, you’ll start your trek, accompanied by an armed ranger (due to the presence of wildlife such as buffalos and giraffes). The trail winds through lush rainforests, where you’ll spot colobus monkeys, warthogs, and bushbucks. After 4-6 hours of trekking, you’ll reach Miriakamba Hut (2,514m), your overnight stop. In the afternoon, take a short acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820m) for breathtaking sunset views over Kilimanjaro.
