Embark on an exciting photo adventure to Gotland & Fårö, the islands of Vikings and natural wonders!
Sweden’s largest island Gotland offers a landscape like no other in Sweden – for me there is something magical about this island. Characterized by mild, almost Mediterranean climate, it is known for a rich flora and fauna as well as beautiful sandy beaches. The most amazing natural wonder on Gotland are the impressive limestone sea stacks (in Swedish “raukar”) which form stunning fields of natural sculptures along the coastline.
Gotland’s biggest town, Visby, is a true jewel of medieval history. Walking on narrow cobblestone streets along the ruins of once great cathedrals make you feel travelling back in time, when Visby was once an important trading station of the Vikings and then the flourishing center of the Hanseatic League in the Baltic Sea. Merchant’s from all over Europe came to Visby to trade goods and treasuries.
For five days (incl. four nights), we will explore the islands of Gotland and Fårö with special focus on landscape (and seascape) photography. We will visit the best photo locations in the northern part of Gotland and Fårö. You will have the chance to create meaningful photographs at the most inspiring places! We will take advantage of the most beautiful light and mainly photograph in the mornings and evenings. During the day, we have time to discuss the results of the shootings and edit our photos together. I will show you my post processing workflow in Lightroom and how to enhance the effect of your photos fundamentally in just a few steps.
Together we will improve your photography skills and you will be able to create meaningful stories without any words – through photographs that speak for themselves. I make sure that you will have an unforgettable photography experience!
