This 6-days adventure combines the Lemosho Route trek on Mount Kilimanjaro with a 3-days wildlife safari in Tanzania’s top parks. The Lemosho Route is known for its beautiful scenery and high summit success rate, while the safari offers a chance to see the Big Five and diverse landscapes.
Drive from Arusha to Lemosho Gate (approx. 3–4 hours). Registration at Kilimanjaro National Park before starting the trek. Trek through a rainforest zone to Big Tree Camp. Trekking distance: 7 km (4–5 hours). Overnight: Big Tree Camp (2,780m
Trek through the moorland zone, passing the scenic Shira Plateau. Beautiful views of Kibo Peak as you gain altitude. Trekking distance: 16km (7–8 hours). Overnight: Shira 2 Camp (3,850m).
Hike up to Lava Tower (4,600m) for acclimatization. Descend to Barranco Camp, famous for the stunning Barranco Wall. Trekking distance: 10km (6–7 hours). Overnight: Barranco Camp (3,960m).
Climb the Barranco Wall, followed by a trek to Karanga Camp. After lunch, continue to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit. Trekking distance: 9km (8–9 hours). Overnight: Barafu Camp (4,673m). Day 5: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m) Climb the Barranco Wall, followed by a trek to Karanga Camp. After lunch, continue to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit. Trekking distance: 9km (8–9 hours). Overnight: Barafu Camp (4,673m).
Summit night begins at midnight; trek to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate at the top before descending to Mweka Camp. Trekking distance: 17km (12–14 hours). Overnight: Mweka Camp (3,100m).
Final trek through the montane forest to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificates and drive back to Arusha. Trekking distance: 10km (3–4 hours). Overnight: Hotel in Arusha
Morning drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2 hours). Full-day game drive in Tarangire, famous for elephants, baobabs, and predators. Overnight: Lodge/tented camp near Tarangire
Early morning drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a full-day game drive (home to the Big Five). Overnight: Lodge/tented camp near Lake Manyara.
Half-day game drive in Lake Manyara, known for tree-climbing lions and flamingos. Afternoon drive back to Arusha (approx. 2 hours), marking the end of the adventure
