A car or a minivan will pick you up directly at your hotel and take you to the estate where Tuscan extra virgin olive oil is grown and produced.
Through this experience, you’ll learn about the different agricultural processes used to create E.V.O. oil and discover the best way to taste it.
During a walk in the fields of the estate, you will discover the particular techniques of organic cultivation. At Bottling, Conservation and Oil Tasting Cellar you will learn to taste and recognize an Extra Virgin Olive Oil, you will receive valuable advice for an optimal combination of food with the oils of the company.
At the conclusion of the excursion, make sure to visit the historic medieval town of Montecatini Alto, where you can take in a stunning view of the valley. Here you can see the ruins of the fortress, the Romanesque church of S. Pietro and its bell tower the tower of Castel Nuovo and the central square with its typical restaurants, the old town today a private house, the neo-Gothic theater that houses a pizzeria and several medieval houses. Take a break in the picturesque square for an aperitif or dinner and then return to the valley via the ancient funicular railway that dates back to 1898.
