As a small group, we will explore the beautiful landscape of the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park with traditional wooden snowshoes.

As a small group, we will explore the beautiful landscape of the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park with traditional wooden snowshoes.

We will drive approximately 45 minutes from Levi to the heart of the National Park; the majestic hills and valleys of Pallas. We’ll use our snowshoes to explore at a relaxed pace, pausing to take photos and learn about boreal nature, animals, tracks, plants. Depending on weather conditions, we can climb above the tree line for fantastic panorama views or experience the thrill of a snow storm or hillside mist.

More eco-friendly, less noisy and much larger than modern plastic snowshoes, our wooden snowshoes allow us to float over even deep powder snow and go off-trail.

Our friendly and knowledgeable guide will bring some hot drinks and homemade snacks for you to enjoy.
