We will pick you up from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport this morning and take you to the next stage of your journey. Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, you will receive a warm welcome from your guide and driver. After a smooth transfer to your hotel, your exploration of Addis Ababa begins. Start with a visit to Mount Entoto and Entoto Hill, offering a commanding panoramic view of Addis Ababa. Continue to the National Museum, home to the world-famous Lucy, a 3.2-million-year-old hominid fossil. Next, discover Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage at the Ethnographic Museum, housed within the former palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. Conclude your city tour with a visit to Merkato, the largest open-air market in Africa, where you can experience the vibrant atmosphere and diverse local trades. Day 3: Lalibela

The sprawling village of Lalibela, set deep in the mountains of northern Ethiopia, houses what is surely the most breathtaking historical site in sub-Saharan Africa. It was here, in the 12th century, that a complex of 13 churches and chapels was chipped into the rock, flake by flake, under the direction of the legendary King Lalibela. The churches of Lalibela represent the apex of an Ethiopian rock-hewing tradition that dates back to the 4th-century arrival of Christianity, and they exude the spirituality of religious shrines that have been in continuous use for eight centuries. Capital not only of Ethiopia but also of the African Union, Addis Ababa is serviced by the country’s only international airport and forms an ideal springboard for exploring further afield. Upon arrival in the capital, you will embark on a scenic drive to Lake Langano, located approximately 200 km (about a 3-4 hour drive) south of Addis Ababa. The journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, lush hills, and rural villages. Once you arrive at Lake Langano, you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the lake, perhaps engaging in activities like swimming, bird watching, or taking a boat ride, before settling in for the evening at a lakeside lodge. Gondar is a city renowned for its rich historical and cultural heritage. Start your exploration with a visit to the magnificent Gondar Castle complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases the architectural brilliance of the 17th and 18th centuries. Wander through the impressive castles, such as Fasil Ghebbi, and soak in the stories of Ethiopia's former emperors. Day 6: Simien Mountains National Park

Welcome to Simien Mountains National Park. This Unesco World Heritage Site protects Africa's fifth-highest mountain range, a scenic wonderland of highland plateaus and gaping river valleys capped by the 4,550m summit of Ras Dashen. Easily explored on foot, but also traversed by one of the highest all-weather roads in Africa, the park is notable for its endemic wildlife. It forms the last refuge on earth for the long-horned Walia ibex, which is Africa's only indigenous goat, and is also an important stronghold for the striking gelada monkey and endangered Ethiopian wolf. Marvel at some truly dramatic highland landscapes on a day trip to . Incorporating Africa's fifth-highest peak, Ras Dashen, Simien is traversed by an all-weather road that leads through a pastel-shaded Afroalpine moorland incised by steep river gorges.
