Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival. This day we arrive to Ben Gurion International Airport and drive to the hotel at the sea of Galilee. Overnight at the Sea of Galilee

Day 2

Following Jesus in His Ministry in Galilee Today, we embark on a journey through Galilee, tracing the footsteps of Jesus during His ministry. Our first stop is Capernaum, the headquarters of His ministry (Matthew 4), where we’ll explore the ancient ruins and reflect on the profound teachings that took place here. Next, we’ll recall the powerful messages of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) as we visit the stunning locations associated with this significant event. We’ll then view the ancient boat at Kibbutz Genosar, a remarkable find that connects us to the lives of those who fished these waters long ago. A refreshing boat ride across the Sea of Galilee awaits, offering a serene moment to relax and soak in the beauty of the landscape. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey around the Sea of Galilee, visiting the site where Jesus healed the demon-possessed man, as well as the location of His reconciliation with Peter (John 21) and the miraculous feeding of the 5,000 (Matthew 14). For those who wish, there will be an opportunity for baptism in the Jordan River, a powerful way to deepen your faith in this sacred place. Exploring the Golan Heights Today, we’ll embark on an exciting exploration of the Golan Heights, beginning with a visit to the ancient city of Dan (Judges 17 & 18). Here, we’ll uncover the rich history and archaeological significance of this biblical site. Next, we’ll travel to Caesarea Philippi, the location where Peter made his profound confession of faith (Matthew 16). This picturesque area, with its lush surroundings, invites reflection on the pivotal moments in Jesus' ministry. We’ll also journey to the borders of Syria and Lebanon, where the stunning views provide a dramatic backdrop for our adventure. Our final stop will be the impressive Crusader castle of Qalat Nimrod, where we’ll delve into the history of the Crusades and enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the Golan landscape. Day 4

Journey to Nazareth and Beyond We’ll start our day with a drive to the city of Nazareth, where Jesus spent His formative years. Here, we’ll explore the rich history and significance of this biblical town. Next, we’ll visit the ancient city of Megiddo, a site steeped in history and prophecy. We’ll discuss its connection to Armageddon (Revelation 16:16) and reflect on its role in biblical narratives. Continuing our journey, we’ll ascend Mount Carmel, where we’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Jezreel Valley. This stunning landscape will provide the perfect backdrop as we discuss the ministry of Elijah (1 Kings 18) and the dramatic events that unfolded here. After lunch, we’ll drive to Caesarea, the Herodian capital that served as a cultural hub for the pagan population in ancient Israel (Acts 12). Next, we’ll follow in Jesus’ footsteps as we trace His Palm Sunday walk. Along the way, we’ll pause at the site where He wept over the city (Luke 19), reflecting on His profound compassion and love for Jerusalem. Our journey will then lead us to the Garden of Gethsemane, where we’ll visit the Grotto of Betrayal (John 18), a poignant reminder of the events leading to His crucifixion. After a leisurely lunch, we’ll explore the City of David, uncovering the archaeological treasures that reveal the history of this ancient site. Our day will culminate with a visit to the Western Wall Tunnel, where we’ll walk through history and marvel at the engineering feats of the past. Next, we’ll visit the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus performed the miraculous healing of the paralytic (John 5). Standing in this ancient place, we’ll consider the impact of His compassion and healing power. Our exploration will continue at the Antonia Fortress, the site associated with Pontius Pilate (John 19). Here, we’ll gain insight into the Roman governance of Jerusalem during Jesus' time. Day 7

A Day of Remembrance and Discovery Today, we begin with a visit to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum, where we will honor and remember the profound impact of the Holocaust. This deeply moving experience invites us to reflect on the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of remembrance. Next, we’ll travel to the Biblical Resources Garden in Ein Karem. Here, we’ll explore restored artifacts that illuminate the biblical past, providing context and insight into the daily lives and practices of ancient communities. After a fulfilling lunch, we’ll journey to the site of the legendary battle between David and Goliath, where we’ll explore the ancient city of Ekron. This visit will offer us a glimpse into Philistine culture and the historical significance of this iconic confrontation.
