The tour begins in the morning, departing from the city of El Calafate. After a journey of 80 km we arrive at the viewpoint area, with walkways and balconies facing the Perito Moreno Glacier. The walkways have viewpoint balconies on different levels, which allow varying perspectives of the impressive glacier and landscape. The viewpoints are connected by ramps and stairways which can be walked during the excursion. The excursion is complemented with a short navigation of 1 hour. This excursion allows for an up-close view of the glacier. The boat navigates within 300 meters of the glacier. We suggest the following optional tours: Minitrekking in Moreno Glacier
Transfer from the hotel to Calafate bus station. Regular bus to Puerto Natales in Chile. Arrival at Puerto Natales bus station and transfer to your accommodation.
The tour begins with a visit to the Milodón Cave, a remarkable cavern measuring 200 meters in length, 30 meters in height, and 80 meters in width, located 25 km from Puerto Natales. A half-hour walk takes us into the cave, where remains of extinct animals have been found, including the dwarf horse, bear, panther, and saber-toothed tiger. We pass through Cerro Castillo, where we stop at a café before continuing toward Torres del Paine, crossing numerous ranches and a landscape that transitions from steppe to deciduous forest. Torres del Paine is world-renowned for the massif that gives it its name—granite giants sculpted by the force of glacial ice. Upon entering the park, we discover a series of intensely colored lagoons, ice-covered mountains, and abundant local wildlife. We will then take a 15-minute walk to Salto Grande on the Paine River. After lunch, we continue to Grey Lake, where we will take a walk to the beach, from which we can admire the distant Grey Glacier. Finally, we begin our return journey to Puerto Natales.
The puma is a wild animal that lives freely in Torres del Paine, the search and tracking experience will be unforgettable and is guaranteed, but there is always the possibility of not achieving a sighting or the “perfect” photograph. The PN Torres del Paine is a protected area, with trails and established viewpoints where we develop our search. The staff must follow the rules and ensure that travelers comply with them. The excursion starts very early at dawn and depends on the time of year in which the activity takes place. The total duration time is approximately 18 hours, The search is carried out mainly by vehicle, and on some occasions on foot (walking soft intensity), but always in public and permitted places.
