Usambara Mountain Trekking and Walking Tour

Day 1: Journey to Lushoto
05:00 hrs: Depart from Arusha for Lushoto, located in the West Usambara Mountains.
Arrive in the early afternoon and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, take a scenic walk or drive to:
Irente Viewpoint – enjoy stunning views and the sunset.
Irente Farm – famous for producing a variety of jam, cheese, juice, bread, and more.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kakakuona Lodge.
Day 2: Magamba Forest & Kisasa Waterfall Trek
Breakfast at the lodge before starting your trekking adventure:
Hike uphill through traditional villages and farmlands.
Spot chameleons and learn about the Shambaa and Kilindi ethnic groups.
Explore Magamba Rainforest, home to diverse flora and fauna, including:
Black-and-white colobus monkeys
Blue monkeys
Endemic tree species
Visit the German Cave, a historical site from the colonial era.
Continue hiking to the mountain peak, where you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch with breathtaking views of Lushoto town.
After lunch, descend through forest trails leading to Kisasa Waterfall.
Overnight stay at Kakakuona Lodge.
Day 3: Kisasa Waterfall & Return Journey
Early breakfast, followed by a tour of Kisasa Waterfall.
Later, take a bus back to Dar es Salaam, Moshi, Tanga, or Arusha.
